Insight School of Washington Academic Options:
- AP, or Advanced Placement, is the most academically intensive course designed for students who wish to earn college credit while in high school and apply to a competitive college or university.
- Honors is designed with the high achieving, well-prepared college-bound students in mind who are willing to invest time and effort in core academic coursework and who enjoy working with other students with the same interests, ambitions, and abilities.
- College Prep prepares students to enter college or university upon completion of their high school diploma. Students take additional courses in core academic areas in order to meet college and university admission requirements.
- Career Prep provides students who plan to enter a vocation upon graduation from high school with the academic skills they need to succeed in life. Students select from an expanding catalog of career and technical courses that are interesting, engaging, and relevant to their goals. In grade 12, students can earn credits towards graduation through on-the-job training and internship experiences.
- Foundation is designed for students who need to fill gaps in their academic record. This course takes advantage of the unique benefits of online learning to help students build study skills and knowledge in a personalized, supportive environment.
- ESL, or English as a Second Language, provides up to one school year of ESL training with native-language support in a variety of languages tailored to the student’s skills upon entry into the School. Students must demonstrate English language mastery before enrolling in traditional courses.
